Hi, I'm G.S. Malhotra, an Educator, Researcher, G Suite Trainer, Career Counsellor, Scientific Writer, Data Interpreter, and Vector Designer.

My job profile represents me a distinguished teacher and a learner. I have always been recognised for the intensive use of ICT in teaching-learning activities and to design the academic content for the full engagement of students in the classroom as well as in the home. I have advised on many innovative practices in our School/College for the pedagogical change and employability skills of the students. I have trained my companions to acquire ICT knowledge as I am an ICT enthusiast.

Ecology and Evolutionary biology are my prime interest in teaching and research. I am always eager to enrich my knowledge and connect the acquired knowledge to investigate the things. By profession, I educate the students about nature and environmental processes. I am working to apply ecological principles on the various animal groups to know the ecosystem degradation. In my current research project, I am examining the relationship between species diversity and ecological determinants in spider communities, more precisely spider diversity and vegetational architectural features. Besides, I am also considering the species diversity in dung beetles, perching behaviour in birds, diversity indices, niche apportionment models, and global climate change.

Apart from the teaching to graduate and postgraduate classes, I was actively involved in the college administration, supervising college’s annual events, admission, examination, and also have taken care the UGC funding schemes to fetch the various grants in my previous employment. I was the coordinator for conduction of competitive exams of SSC, RPSC, ICAR, IIBF etc. during the examination centre in the College. I was the key role player in the compilation of “Self Study Report” for the NAAC accreditation of the college in 2010.

I am capable to organise and coordinate the networking events and teamwork. Provenly, I have organised several events in the college, funded by the national funding agencies like UGC.

With my attentive observation, the college has given me the opportunity to learn the General Accounts and Finance Rules. During the UGC XI plan, I have been appointed in-charge for the purchasing of instruments and other enhancement material in the college.

I have an ability to observe and identify the institutional problems and can build an extensive selection of their remedy and ability to think and practise modernism and innovation in institutional entities. These diverse work responsibilities have also delivered me an added advantage of working in a collaborative environment and keeping me a lifelong learner.
