An Educator, Researcher, Writer, Counsellor

My job profile represents me a distinguished teacher and a learner. I am always eager to enrich my knowledge and connect the acquired knowledge to investigate the things. By profession, I educate the students about nature and environmental processes and do research on the application of ecological principles on the various animal groups to know the ecosystem degradation.

I have always been recognised for the intensive use of ICT in teaching-learning activities and to design the interactive teaching content for the full engagement of students in the classroom as well as in the home. I am capable to explore the innovative practices for pedagogical change and inculcation of employability skills among the students. I have trained several teaching communities for the adoption of the ICT tools and provided counselling to several students to choose the correct career path through my social and community initiatives.

Teaching

I am teaching Graduate and Post Graduate classes for various courses and programmes with a central stream of Environmental Science. The aim and outcome of my teaching courses are to create environmental conciseness. I am intensively using the ICT tools in teaching-learning activities for the full students' engagement.

Habitat Complexity and Spider Diversity

In my current research project, I am examining the relationship between species diversity and ecological determinants in spider communities, more precisely spider diversity and vegetational architectural features. Besides, I am also considering the species diversity in dung beetles, perching behaviour in birds, diversity indices, niche apportionment models, and global climate change.
